Sony Alpha Female Illustrations

Sony approached Confidant to design a line of t-shirts celebrating their Alpha Female community; an initiative dedicated to supporting female photographers and videographers. This initiative offers grants, mentorship, and access to a network of other female creators for all who join. I worked to deliver a set of four illustrated t-shirt designs in collaboration with my Art Director, Eric Walters, who teamed up with me to concept and provide feedback while I tackled the illustration and look and feel.

Working within a 5 color max palette, our client wanted something feminine, maybe drawing upon floral motifs, and featuring the Alpha Female logo. I loved the idea of using these vibrant colors that would really pop against a black tee. I also loved bringing in geometric shape and hand-drawn type to this project. I think the finished product really plays in an intersection between bold fill and playful stroke.
